Electronic Reserves
To find course reserves:
-
Login to MyUW.
-
Click on the Academics tab.
-
Click the Library/Reserves link for each of the courses you are currently taking.
The link will take you to a web page of library materials for that course.
Some pages for courses will also contain links to additional library resources for the course such as links to websites, databases, journals, and library services including online article delivery.
Note: Some materials may also be available through faculty or department home pages. See your instructor for more information on non-library materials.
Questions or problems? Email us or ask a librarian.

Print Reserves
The print reserves collection is kept behind the Business Library Circulation Desk. It contains course-related materials submitted by professors for students currently enrolled at UW-Madison.
To see which print materials are on reserve for a particular class, use MadCat and search under the "Course Reserve" tab.
A valid UW-Madison ID card is needed to check out reserve materials. Most reserve materials circulate for 2 hours and may be renewed once if they aren't overdue.
Business Library reserve materials must be returned to the Business Library, not other campus libraries.
The charges for reserve materials are:
- Hourly loans: $2.00 per hour
- Daily loans: $5.00 per day
- Maximum charge: $35.00 per item
If overdue reserve materials are not returned within 7 days of the due date, users will be billed a standard replacement charge.
Contact the Circulation Desk at 262-5935 or email Cathy Young with questions or comments.
