Article Databases
Databases have case studies that have been published in magazines and journals.
To find case studies in ABI/Inform on marketing,
- Go to the Advanced Search screen.
- Type case studies in the first box and select Subject from the drop-down menu to the right.
- In the box on the second line, type words(>5000).
- In the box on the third line enter a topic such as marketing or ford. Your search should look like this:

5. Click on Search. If you don't find enough case studies, decrease the number of words to 4,000 or less.
To find case studies in Business Source Elite:
- Click on the Advanced Search tab.
- Type case studies in the first box and select SU Subject Terms from the drop-down menu to the right.
- In the box on the second line, enter a topic such as marketing.
- Scroll down to the Number of Pages heading and change All to greater than. Put 4 in the adjacent box.
Your search should look like this:

Number of Pages greater than 4
Click on Search. If you don't find enough case studies, decrease the number of pages.
The Harvard Business Review is available full text in Business Source Elite. To find case studies that were published in this journal, type harvard business review and case studies in the search box.
Books
You can find books with case studies on a particular subject in MadCat. Using the Guided Search, type case studies and your topic in the boxes provided. Example:
